BIVOUAC, BY RESERVATION AND NEAR THE REFUGE
For a single night or a multi-day hike, the Vanoise National Park offers you the opportunity to experience bivouac camping, provided you book your site in advance.
In the heart of the Park, bivouacking is permitted during the summer and only on the designated site near the refuge during the guarding period*.
As you will have understood, I do not pitch my tent anywhere, to preserve the natural environment, to not damage the flora and not disturb the wild fauna.
We are counting on you to follow our recipe, because it is only at this price that the adventure of bivouacking can continue to be enjoyed in our mountains!
WHY BOOK AND PAY FOR YOUR SPACE?
For the sake of fairness and respect for all, you must reserve your pitch with the refuge warden before your stay. The number of spots is limited and regulated !
- To enjoy the bivouac experience peacefully, in a quiet, and exceptional setting.
- To still have space for your tent and that of your neighbors, who have also booked their night!
- To avoid overloading the sanitary facilities.
- To ensure everyone's safety in case of bad weather: the shelters have a limited capacity.
You will have access to the amenities :
- Access to the picnic area inside : Please note that access to the refuge (including the picnic kitchen area and tables) is only permitted before 7 p.m. After that, you must leave room for half-board guests for the evening service. If the refuge is less busy, the hours are more flexible: please contact the wardens by phone.
- Access to the refuge's restrooms.
- Half-board accommodation is also available. You can hike with your backpack and your mind at ease!
- The real bonus: the refuge warden will be happy to share their mountain knowledge and enrich your experience.
- Handy when you need a weather report or hiking advice!
