During the manned season, the Turia refuge offers half board and you can also buy a picnic lunch for the next day. Most of what we serve is organic and local if possible.

At the beginning of the summer season, restocking is done by helicopter. That's about a ton of drinks and groceries, plus gas, wood and any materials needed to repair the refuge. Everything that is forgotten on the helicopter transport has to be physically carried up by us or postponed to the following year!

It takes an average of 4 helicopter trips to bring all this up to Turia refuge. The refuge is located in the heart of the Vanoise National Park, so helicopter flights are kept to a minimum.
Transport is done using big bags, the helicopter transports about 700kg per trip.

For the rest of the season, supplies are brought in on their backs, using a carrying hurdle. Garbage and sorting are brought down regularly on their backs.
