chaleureux, calme, authentique Turia
Nestled on its promontory, at an altitude of 2410 meters, the Turia refuge is the starting point for many mountaineering routes: Mont Turia, Dôme de la Sache, Mont Pourri...
The mountain refuge is also an ideal stopover for hikers doing the tour of Mont Pourri, or wanting to discover the Vanoise National Park and the Villaroger Nature Reserve.
Facing a high mountain panorama, near glaciers and many wild animals, the site of the Turia refuge is ideal for experiencing your first night in the mountains.
Remember to book your night with the refuge guardian (person running the mountain refuge) during the manned period, so that she can welcome you in the best conditions.
Turia refuge has one dormitory of 19 beds, with blankets and pillows (remember to bring your sleeping bag liner). A wood stove is lit on cold evenings, and you will find documentation about the Vanoise National Park, and some books and games at your disposal.
You will find water treated by UV filtration inside the refuge, as well as everything you need to cook if necessary.
In accordance with the Vanoise National Park regulations, bivouacking is authorised and limiter around the refuge, at a specific location and by reservation only.
